A day ago, Bustle featured our app on its website! In the article, Sarah Friedman mentioned that we are “a women-owned application [that] offers several different tools that allow you to investigate the politics of your favorite companies.”
Bustle is a women’s magazine founded in 2013 that has grown to over 80 million readers.
Since this was posted, thousands have downloaded our app and Goods’ users have been using the app nonstop this week in light of all the news surrounding campaign finance.
We’re so thrilled to be featured on such a large and socially influential platform like Bustle. This feature really shows how important it is to be aware of where your money is going. Whether you like it or not, for every $1 knowingly contributed by individuals and small donors to political campaigns, $3 are being inadvertently contributed by way of your everyday expenditures. This means that despite making a contribution to your favorite candidate that you hope to be elected in 2020, you may be supporting corporations and brands that contribute three times more to the opposing candidate – that is, of course, if you’re not aware of the politics of the companies you purchase from!
Of course, by making Goods Unite Us an everyday app, you don’t have to worry about not knowing whether or not your expenditures align with your values. We make it easy! Every time you are about to buy something, just make sure to search it on our app first. That way, you can have the peace of mind that you’re not undermining your personal vote!
